After receiving my BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan, I worked at Toyota Technical Center designing and evaluating crashworthy vehicle structures. Later, I worked at an applied engineering research center at the Ohio State University helping inventors increase the technology readiness level of their products with detailed designs, prototyping, and testing. I have experience developing electro-mechanical products including medical devices and manufacturing automation tools. In my roles both as an inventor and working on technical development with other inventors my interest was piqued in the dynamic and diverse field of patent law.
Currently in my practice as a Patent Engineer at HFZ I leverage my industry experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications to protect the work of our clients.
